My project mantra is seeing 360° in the distort world. Deceptive, false and misleading information is fully shared in several social media. It is, therefore, important for us to read more and be educated to distinguish the truth and false news. Only by fully understanding the completed story and critical thinking could we avoid us from the falling trap. Seeing 360° addresses this phenomenon by widening the vision to get an all-inclusive idea. Being an independent thinker is crucial nowadays. Look all around and think 360° 👀🌍

Looking 360°

My project mantra is seeing 360° in the distort world. The innovations in digital technologies have given a platform for an increase in misinformation and fake news with sometimes world changing effects. Mass media, today, is full of misleading facts and disinformation. News is a way of communication that keeps us informed of up-to-date events and issues in the world outside. Media plays an important role in what happens in the world when the audience not knowing the direct knowledge and experience. The relationship of mass media towards the audience is like a mirror. It is suggested to reflect the truth of a fact in reality. It is also expected to sever the society to have an unbiased, objective and critical view. However, in this day and age, we are easily affected by massive media via advertising or information. As a result, false information that can skew a person's knowledge of a specific topic. “The traditional media that you worked in had this curation-mediation role, where certain norms were observed, certain stories would be rejected because they weren't credible, but now that the standard for publication and amplification is just interest, attention, excitement, click.” Christiane Amanpour, a British-Iranian journalist and television host. Exaggerated news and fake resources are everywhere. What we see and what we look had been filtered by broadcasting. Most of the time, seldom do we know how much news has been altered and distorted. Looking 360° represents the different angles from distorted news in this day and age. The magnifying glass of the EyE Earring Cuff expresses some news as being exaggerated, zooming in and out on the audience’s eyes. The etching on the Z Brooch reflects the idea of viewing from different perspectives through two pictures in one piece. Confusing Eyepiece, 180° Headpiece and 360° Ring playing with graduation to emphasis angles are being twisted. Look all around and think 360°.
