“As one gets older, the fear that time is running out and important opportunities are slipping away.” Exhibiting how my personal experiences have influenced my perception of time and how it can all slip away. Fleeting time reminds me of last summer when I was facing some health issues and I was in and out of the hospital. Time in that sense it was very quickly as I felt like I was missing opportunities to live. Time is a century-long waiting game. To have no choice in the matter of what you do with your time when it comes to your health is almost unbearable. The German word ‘Torschlusspanik’ is precisely what I felt at the time therefore I want to showcase that feeling through this project.
