My final project is based on four songs by Akala: The Thieves Banquet, The Thieves Banquet Part 2, Pissed Off and Peace. I was interested in their political themes and their exploration of power, oppression and injustice. The story takes place in the devil's palace where he's holding a banquet to see who is the most evil on earth. I drew on inspiration from Dante's Inferno and the Bible as well as the song lyrics themselves.
