This Video is an excerpt from my end of year visual proposal. The Donna Maria Palace, located in the mountains of Lebanon is a palace that use to belong to the Sursock family, one of the biggest and oldest family in the country. During the civil war, it was heavily bombarded by the christian militia, resulting in the collapse of its roof and crumbling of its facade. It has since been left in that decaying state, like frozen in time, and its garden is sometimes host for wedding diners. In 2018, a friend and I found a way to get inside of the palace and were able to take some pictures. That visit ever left my mind, and gave me the idea two years later to curate an exhibition inside of it.
