WHEN IN DAM AW20 - DESIGN RESEARCH

My final collection was based on the relationship between globalisation and cultural dilution. I referenced the city of Amsterdam, exploring how increased global interconnectivity and sub-cultural emergences affected Dutch traditions and overshadowed its history. Taking inspiration from a large variety of primary research, I looked at the project from the perspective of a visiting tourist, highlighting tourist cliché and global stigma.
