This project initiated with the idea of applying theories of form and function onto my design. Form is defined as the appearance of design that we interpret instinctively, influenced by personal preferences, as well as instilled culture, which is embodied by my exploration on the field of surface patterns. My aim in this design is to use the least space to create the most storage opportunity, in order to improve the quality of citizen’s living. However, I wish to improve on those designs in its form by applying surface patterns, which can enhance the aesthetic appearance of the furniture, and add the liveliness of art and design into daily life, which can be showcased by my interest and love for colour.
