Much of my work throughout the foundation has revolved around the idea of being able to create a psychological space - exploring distancing, mapping spaces and constructing different ideologies.
Exploring dualistic characters and scenarios interests me; specifically the moment just before the collision of reality and fantasy. I have looked into the idea of self and projection, how we choose to compartmentalise our characteristics and what we choose to show to others - trying to edit and manipulate our reality to present a more ‘attractive’ version of ourselves or a situation. This is an idea often investigated in literature, where a character’s deterioration is arguably the consequence of their own constructed reality. It is the fragility of their situation and the inevitable disintegration of a holistic self that I have chosen to concentrate on.
