This project explores colourism within the Indian fashion industry through a hypothetical campaign featuring outfits inspired by designer Mani Jassal. Each illustration presents women of different shades positioned in the style of a photoshoot for an upcoming collection. This project explores the serious role colourism plays within all aspects of South Asian media and the promotion of skin bleaching products. This series of illustrations was created to highlight the beauty in all shades of skin using the tagline 'Giving Shade'.
