I have always wondered what happens when one dies and what the afterlife holds for an individual . I started my FMP by researching about the Egyptian ideals of afterlife and went on to re imagine my own version of it which to me felt exactly like the scenes from Coldplay's music video of Up&Up. I was also influenced by the movie "Arrival" and how the language used in the movie reflected non-linear view of time.
Afterlife
I have always felt that music plays a huge part in creating the vibe of an artwork and so I tried putting together a short clip that addresses the atmosphere i want to create.

This further development of the initial sample has designs made of finger knitted patterns and frayed rope ends along with the riso print come mainly from collages of the "Up&Up" video. I scaled up the 3D design and made it more refined. This piece explores the body as well as furniture.
