“Honouring the End” is a collection of portraits depicting those working as nurses, carers and support staff, specifically in the end-of-life and palliative care sector. This subject was inspired by my own parents, who both lived with long-term incurable illnesses, which introduced me to this industry of workers. These workers continue to put themselves on the front line for the most vulnerable of our society. Now more than ever, this work aims to highlight this community within the health care industry and in doing so, drawing attention to these individuals behind their job roles.
