‘Somewhere in England’ places focus on textural and functional design, through the lens of industrial and societal changes during the 20th century. The collection for A/W2020, entitled ‘Silk & Cyanide’, specifically draws upon the mood and atmospheric photographs from World War Two. Reference has been taken from the Imperial War Museum in London, work that was going on at the Bletchley Park Estate and rural British Landscapes. Prioritising British sourcing and production ‘Somewhere in England’ seeks to implement resourceful craftsmanship using high-quality yarns and finishing techniques, manifesting into the form of high end, contemporary menswear garments. This is a collaborative project with Rob Hallett - BA (Hons) Fashion Design Development
