London based theatre designer, Seònaid Gowdie, became interested in theatre design during her foundation year at Camberwell College of Arts. During her time at Wimbledon College of Art she’s had the opportunity to better her model making as well as gain skills in digital software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Premiere Pro. She has designed a range of productions from Shakespeare to contemporary dance. She was fortunate enough to take part in the Staging the Real symposium at the National Theatre discussing identity in regards to Jocelyn Herbert’s design for Savages. Most recently she’s designed a political piece based on the song The Thieves Banquet by Akala.
