London College of Fashion
BA (Hons) Hair, Make-up and Prosthetics for Performance
My name is Eloise Webster, I am a recent graduate from London College of Fashion specialising in Hair, Makeup, and Prosthetics for the performing arts. With a keen interest in special effects and prosthetics, I aspire to work in the creature design department for film and television. From a young age, I've been immersed in the creative arts, drawing inspiration from literature and well-known screen adaptions like Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings, fueling my passion for storytelling through makeup and prosthetics. I have immersed myself in the creative industries from a part-time role at a family-run art shop working in diverse roles including graphic design, framing workmanship and managerial skills. This experience provided the opportunity to learn and develop my creative skillset further, and honed my organisational, time management and leadership skills, making me a confident, reliable and well-rounded individual. My part-time role working in the NHS further developed my communication and problem-solving abilities, showcasing my ability to thrive under pressure.During my university journey, I've collaborated with peers across disciplines, gaining valuable industry insight and honing my collaborative skills. Since studying for my degree I have, I learnt that my strengths lie in creature design and creation and have been given the freedom to creatively explore this, learning different processes and techniques used throughout the industry. I have also had the privilege of delving into the art of wig-making and styling, in both artistic and historically accurate ways. Inspired by influential industry members such as Davy Jones, RedGirlFx and the show Sex Education, I am committed to promoting inclusivity, diversity and sustainability in the makeup industry. I aim to work in the creature creation department while pursuing freelance opportunities. As an avid traveller, I aspire to work on film sets globally.
