Born to play but forced to study, Ross Schartel holds a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in art from Pittsburg State University, and has worked for the United States National Archives, as well as was a Smithsonian Intern for the Archives of American Art. His work focuses on the intervention of archival process and popular culture through fashion, as well as the language of craft and process.
