Kliment (Junxuan) Cheng is a textile designer specialising in embroidery and surface design. Her practice explores the intersection of craftsmanship, material experimentation and visual storytelling, using textiles as a medium to translate ideas into tactile experiences.Working across embroidery, print, embellishment and mixed-media techniques, she combines traditional craft knowledge with contemporary approaches to surface development. Influenced by cultural heritage, natural forms and the emotional qualities of materials, her work focuses on creating rich textures and distinctive textile narratives.With a strong interest in couture craftsmanship and innovative material applications, Kliment aims to push the boundaries of embroidery and surface design while celebrating the enduring value of handcraft in contemporary practice.
