Yanjun Chen - Graduate

About me

Yannjun Chen is an illustrator based in London. She is currently studying for an MA in Illustration and Visual Media at the LCC in UAL; she also received her BA certificate in Illustration and Comics from the China Academy of Art in 2019. In China, she has worked with brand clients such as Snow Beer and Meituan Delivery.Yann loves using delicate compositions and figure shapes, surrounding flat colours, and paying great attention to detail in her illustrations. Sometimes she uses motifs from classical Chinese paintings backgrounds of the pictures and uses jade and hand motions to highlight the items' exposure. At the same time, she also focuses on the narrative of the image, and she excels at capturing the essence of the thing.
