My name is Louis-Marie. My practice revolves around the pictorial genre of vanity, tackling existential themes of life, death, the passing of time, and surface, through a variety of mediums. I adopt the approach of a poet, valuing ambiguity and tension, and creating images that merge the distinct elements that constitute my visual vocabulary. Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal is an important inspiration.
