BA (Hons) Photography
Slaven Orsolic is a photographer from Croatia, based in London. His interest in photography and filmmaking is something that is keeping him open minded, and throughout the years, his curiosity developed further. His biggest inspiration is fine art photography, surrealism, storytelling and fashion. He uses photography to speak loud, as the opposite to his personal shy persona. In 2012, his work was exhibited for the first time as part of the exhibition that presented young artists in his local town Osijek, Croatia, and later in 2019. one of his images was part of the '50 Cool Photographs in the world', voted by Agora Images assembly that is gathered by 3 judges in professional photography field. He is constantly inspired by the world around us, and many things can make him feel motivated to produce work, from architecture to portraits. He is especially interest in storytelling through photography, or how he likes to call it 'Visual Poetry'. He often combines portraiture with surrealism in order to execute the story and emotions, and this is the field that he is most interested in to pursue, and the one that will help him find his own unique niche. Photography is a passion for him, a medium of freedom and connection. A therapy.
