I grew up among an ancient Chinese people (the Dong), a very primitive people who belong to their own writing and usually record things by painting. And my people like to make many amazing costumes and fabrics by hand, so I grew up with many influences that made me fascinated by colour. Having lived inside a Dong village for a long time, some of the Dong's special colorful patterns are burned into my mind.
