BA (Hons) Costume for Performance
Juliet Dodson is a Costume Designer and artist, graduating with a BA (Hons) Costume for Performance from London College of Fashion. Throughout her years at University and professional work, she has developed an ability to skillfully narrate character through Costume. In each of her costumes there is a disguised element of narration which gradually reveals itself throughout the performance providing the audience with a chance to re-evaluate the narrative and portrayal of a character. Dodson's Projects can be understood as explorations into bodily distortion. A vital part of her practice is aimed at extending the body to disturb a fixed state of appearance. Dodson's historical and contemporary understanding of costume design, combined with her experience and enthusiasm from working on various professional productions ranging from TV to film and theatre makes her a valuable addition to any costume team.
