Hyeyeon Chung is an artist originally from Seoul, South Korea, currently living and working in London. She holds a BA in Korean traditional painting from Chung-Ang University and MA in Fine Art: Drawing from the University of the Arts London. She has exhibited widely across Asia, Europe, and the U.S., including solo exhibitions in Berlin and Seoul, and recent group shows in London. Her artistic practice explores the intersection of landscape, memory, and diasporic experiences, blending traditional landscape techniques with contemporary elements. Hyeyeon’s work features intricate, monochrome compositions that fuse scenery with personal and collective memory, creating meditative spaces through repetitive, precise mark-making. Her attention to the textures and materials of textiles, such as linen, mirrors her broader exploration of space, surface tension, and perception.
