Camberwell College of Arts
BA (Hons) Fine Art: Painting
I use drawing, painting and sculpture together to explore death, religion, and offer a contemplation on memento mori. Within my detailed drawings are bodies and skeletons in varying states of degeneration, figures taken from historical painting, and fantasy landscapes that investigate decomposition and theology. Fungi for me represent the cyclical nature of life and death, how one cannot exist without the other; my work is about rebirth and metamorphosis, physically and psychologically.
