Coming from an engineering background, materials play a large part in my practice. This year I experimented with coal, plaster, wire, leather and copper rivets. Developing this theme of sculptural form, I worked with paper creating maquette's, part of my process to be worked up in steel for public works. Land art followed, using foraged sticks and branches, natural materials from the environment. 2020 has made me resilient, forcing me to use limited materials without compromising my practise.
