As a multidisciplinary artist, and curator; I play to understand my subjects through a material exploration of woodwork, paper mache sculptures, drawing, moving image, and sound. The work I make focuses on the details of the domestic and everyday; objects, structure, and routine. This expands into an investigation of the tensions that are built from objects and routine, such as trip hazards and door slamming, and distorting the ergonomics of specific domestic objects to challenge their purpose and use. I aim to create a conflicting sense of emotion; confusion and fascination; frustration and desire.
