Jiayi Lu (b.1996, China) works and lives in Beijing and London. Her practice tests the emotional and cultural exchange points of individual and collective consciousness. It calls on fragments of folklore, mythological stories and cultural heritage. The process of enquiry explores how reworking textual matter blurs subjectivity and creates a spiritual connection with others.
