This project is a digital painting. I designed the figure in front of this painting as a monster called Yeming, her name means luminous night in Chinese mythology. Yeming has a pair of bright eyes in the fairy tale, her eyes can illuminate the dark even at night. This character symbolizes that the patient is under the COVID-19 situation. However, even in such a dark situation, there is always light in patient’s eyes.This light is a metaphorical concept that means the hope in their hearts. Behind this monster are unconscious moss goblins, which represents the virus.
