The elements in this water-colour painting all have symbolic metaphors. The "raised curtain" is often used to mark the beginning of a theatrical performance, in which the audience and actors move their view to the other side of the curtain for a new scene. When I look at a painting, there is indeed a invisible curtain between my vision, that may be because the differences of how people understand things, or because of my self indifference, and even the painting paper itself may also be “curtain” …
