My artwork pays attention to current affairs, because I am particularly interested in the news which gives me more inspiration to create artworks. I have a sketch book recording current affairs, such as crime, family, sexual assault and children's mental health, which I think can broaden my horizon and cultivate my personal thinking. Therefore, I combine news and my idea to represent my artwork. In analysing my method, technically, I prefer to use different material to show my ideas, such as color card, newspaper and craft paper. I use various materials depending on the different topic or different role. For example, when I created the death report of potato boys, I experimented with a number of materials and then I found that the texture of clay is closest to that of potatoes. For, comparison with other materials, such as leather, newspapers and parchments, only clay can show the texture of potatoes.
