‘’Rococo Graceful…’’ was a Fashion Textiles: Print project I completed in my first year at UAL: London College of Fashion. As part of the Experimental Process unit; my initial inspiration came from rococo products, ornaments and architecture used in the 18th century. I looked at organic motiefs such as shells and stones which often featured on 18th century ornaments.I ensured that my prints had a surface texture similar to these ornaments, and tested this through using different fabric and other materials creating uneven, rugged, scratched, dense, and oozing looks. The aim of this project was to create a euphoric print collection, and it was selected to take part in the 2020 Bradford Textile Society Competition.
