tā is my first conceptual documentary film that seeks to promote Asian youth culture. This film discusses the concept of "style" from our (teenager) standpoint. Having a fictional character deep inside everyone's imagination creates an attractive personal style. From a mermaid, a peacock, to even a dragonfly, this film questions how style stands for them throughout a short interview with three Asian teenagers, while trying to find a way to balance their little own world and reality. Having myself growing up as an Asian that lives under a conservative culture, I wanted to deliver a clear message: it is ok to be different and unique by showing the most personal and genuine nature of a person.
