Living in the deep ocean
My artwork is an illustration about an imagination of human’s future life and the marine environment which named ‘Living in the deep ocean’. It described that in the long-term future, due to the destruction and pollution of the environment, the sea level raise sharply, people lose their land and are forced to go back to live in the ocean which is polluted and full of plastic wastes. I used software named Sai and Photoshop to make my illustration and I used wide-angle to emphasize perspective and tension of the artwork. I also used high-contrast colors and large blocks colors to enhance the visual impact and create a sense of unreality. At the same time, I tried to draw the texture of the ocean and plastic materials. The aim I create this illustration is that in these decades, due to man-made destruction, the situation of our living environment become worse and worse and because of the impact of greenhouse, our planet faces various problems, such as air pollution, rising temperatures, melting glaciers, and rising sea levels. These changes have led to frequent occurrences of forest fires, droughts, floods and epidemics. I don’t want our planet become the scene depicted in my illustration, I hope it can arouse people's awareness of environmental protection and put it into action as soon as possible.
