The inspiration for my work comes from coral bleaching. This is the process by which coral dies. Due to drastic changes in the marine environment caused by climate change, symbiotic algae die and the coral loses its colour and turns into white bones. As the coral dies, the ecosystem will suffer severe damage, which will eventually affect humans themselves. I want to raise a kind of mass environmental awareness. We live in symbiosis with nature, and protecting the natural environment means protecting ourselves.
