Climate Crisis Project—Plastic Recycled Fabric

I'm Coral, a young fashion designer and planning to study in LCF, who born in Beijing, China. The theme of my Climate Crisis project is plastic recycled fabrics. Plastic waste is a serious problem in the Anthropocene, and plastic recycling can reduce greenhouse gases emissions. So I use plastic and plastic recycled fabrics to make clothes, in order to attract people’s attention to global warming. Firstly, I cleaned plastic materials. Secondly, I use an iron and a lighter to heat the fabric to get an interesting texture, and then drapping it. Finally, I used photos to record my drapping process. I hope to reduce waste of resources and greenhouse gas emissions through plastic recycling.
