When I saw the theme -- climate change, I subconsciously considered saving production costs in my design, so I decided to use a waste material to make a sustainable project. Because this kind of restraint and rational thinking was become one of my principles. So, my key words are “recycling”, “sustainability” “the reuse of a waste material”. I noticed that there are some brake cables in bicycles, this material is very delicate and has strong toughness and can be reapplied. So, my research direction for this material is to use brake cables to make modular lamps. The reason why I want to make a lamp is that regular wires of lamps were fine yet they were too stick to drop down and cannot be used as structure wires. So I wanted to switch to brake cable which give me a good dropping down feeling.
