My inspiration is from an ancient form of Eastern chess —— ‘Go’, which presents a war between white and black. In this project, White is ice, which means icebergs, the North Pole and nature; the Black is ants, which is a symbol of society (human), weakness, and tension. These elements create a great contrast to convey a message of Emergency (As the ice is melting, the ants die). If we didn’t stop global warming, these images would be our future.
