As my art work, I expressed this project as a short film that progresses with performances using natural and artificial materials reminiscent of the earth. The theme is ephemerality and it represents the challenge of man’s adaptation to nature and the limits of the unnatural compared to the eternal earth. The film begins with a calligraphy performance, nevertheless the characters were written in reverse, symbolising multiple perspectives and the impermanence of objectivity. After that, clay was used as a symbol of the earth and white paint made from shells was also used as a natural material, while luminous green coloured wax was used as a symbol of that which is man-made. Even though the clay pieces were put together once with wax, the wax, which is the artificial element, melted and detached from the earth-born material, clay. The final metaphor symbolises the difficulties of adopting artificial elements into the earth.
