Footprint

My name is Ruining Tang. In this art work project of “Climate Crisis”, my works name is “Footprint”. It is a graphic work done through collage and painting. My inspiration came from a photo of a polar bear standing on a narrow surface of ice. I began to think about the gradual increase in global temperature, which would cause glaciers to melt and sea levels to rise. Will the human environment gradually disappear like a polar bear? In this project, I tried to explore how to use expressions to touch human emotions. I think the concept of footprints can help me express the traces of survival left by people. At the same time, I also want to express the feeling of helplessness and loneliness. Humans gradually lose their homes like polar bears, and finally leave lonely footprints on this small land. This footprint is also the only evidence of human existence. Finally, I hope everyone can pay attention to the climate issue, otherwise we will eventually lose our home.
