A video installation work, invites the viewer to relate to the space from multiple perspectives and perceptual dimensions. I adopt an ambiguous lighting ambiance to organize the display area in the black space, directing the audience to closely observe the objects I set up: small cut onions lined up along the edge of a table wrapped in torn paper. Black metal wires' shapes were twisted into those of torsos and palms, "holding" razor-sharp kitchen knives. Half of a piano was covered by aluminum foil, while another stood on the distant opposite, under a security camera's scrutiny. The clothes of a man and a woman were hanging in mid-air, with a wooden box seemingly used to deposit personal belongings directly below. Behind a black curtain, cutouts about gender, daily life, human figures and sentiments covered the wall. With the pungent smell of onions and the sound of scales mixed with murmurs of life permeating the space, the screen above the dining table begins to play a photography album about a man and a woman on repeat.
