REINFORCING FLUID FEMININITY

A response to ill-fitting clothing and restricting size norms in high-street fashion, my collection focuses on creating clothing that will last a lifetime. Through the use of adjustable features and Grecian inspired draping, each garment is designed to ensure it fits and supports the female body through its lifetime of changes. Adjustable alterations can be made by the wearer, or the garment can be returned to the studio for more complex changes. The work has followed a client-based approach; in conversation with my sister who struggles to find clothing that will meet her desires as well as her small and curvy figure's needs. Produced on a commission base only, further opposing the current high-street climate and its throwaway culture.
