Higher and higher temperature in summer made me realize the necessity of mitigating the climate crisis, it inspired me to make my work. In both paintings, inside of the window represent present and outside the window represent more serious climate crisis in the future. The first painting is about sea level rise, ocean warming—sunken houses and dead cold water fish. The second painting is about more frequent wildfires, everything outside the window is burning: the fire has climbed the trees and twisted the house.
