Balance

Humanity has realized a bunch of achievements under the fossil civilization. As it has developed rapidly, nature is consumed quickly. Now that we have reached that threshold, we are facing a crisis. ‘Balance’ is a sculpture inspired and created after research, consideration and imagination on the food crisis caused by the collapse of the balance between nature and humans. Human food problems cannot be free from various natural disasters triggered by the climate crisis. Furthermore, the damage of disasters is suffered always starting in ‘the inferior’. Hence, the food crisis has a connection to the social hierarchy. Through this work, I would mention the structural problems in our society and the dangers of society too much focused on capitalist values. The message of this work is that the world is not sustainable unless the problems of this imbalance are solved.
