Through the method of narrative, the truth of the ‘animal cruelty’ behind the manufacture of animal leather is revealed and attacked. The inspiration derives from the fact that farm animals have unique number plates that are typically affixed to their ears like earrings. These tags are made of fruit leather, each tag representing the life or skin of an animal. The red part indicates the blood of the animal when it was injured. In order to express the design concept of animal cruelty, the texture of the material should simulate actual animal skin. According to experiments, pomegranate and strawberry leather has solidity, neutral colour, and skin-like texture, and suitable for simple cutting and sewing. It is hoped that this artwork appeals to people to reduce the desire and behavior of purchasing leather products and the probability of animal cruelty and harm. Human are animals ourselves.

Roaring
Cattle, sheep, and pigs are the most commonly raised animals for leather production, so they are placed on the three sides of the toy. The colours pink, white, almond brown, and dark brown are selected to represent the colours of pigs, sheep, and cattle, respectively. Clay and fruit-based leather are the materials used for constructing the work. The clay comes in two colours, reddish-brown and white, which match the design. The shape of the toy is designed to let the audience deeply resonate with the heaviness of the animal cruelty issue.

The stitched words read "Sustainable Design, Animal-Free". The fruit-based leather is strong enough to be embroidered.

If it was your Skin- pig
Different thicknesses and hues of pomegranate leather and pomegranate strawberry blended leather were selected for the final product. The reason for using multiple pieces of fruit leather for appliqué stitching is that it is easier to put them together piece by piece as the shape is inherently difficult to control when stitching on a diorama. There is a gap between every two pieces of leather. On the other hand, because the theme is animal cruelty, it is more shattering to represent it in a cut-up way, where beautiful things are destroyed.

Tanning
The purpose of tanning is to alter the chemistry of the leather fibres, making them more resistant to bacteria and fungal enzymes, preventing the leather from rotting and increasing its durability (Smith & Zoon, 2020). However, the chromium element used in this process is extremely poisonous. It can be visualised and presented in the form of embellishments on the fabric. Technique: stitching Fabric: pomegranate leather Other materials: threads in brown, green, milk-white, blue, and yellow

Waste fruit leather
During my tests, I noticed that fruit leather has a great deal of trimmings that are quite stiff and unsuitable for stitching or creating other objects at this moment, but have their own unique charm. In an effort to recycle them, they were soaked in warm water until they became pliable. They are then knitted together using the most basic techniques. After approximately a week, these pieces transform into works of natural beauty, each with its own colour, borders, and lines.
