As I combined both stages of stage 1‘Disrupted Nature’ and stage 2 ‘Pick and mix’, I was particularly interested in the contrast between the intricate patterns and various textures found within my research of flowers when looking at the petals closely, and combining this with the abstract, bold shapes and patterns throughout my research of masquerade masks in stage 2 ‘Pick and Mix’.
I have created a collection of 6 final samples that combine various stages of my research in a unique way, using vibrant colours and layering different patterns to create a collection that is intricate but also bold and euphoric.
I have used various techniques to create all samples, incorporating both machine and hand embroidery to present a variety of different textures.
