Knit! is a site-specific installation comprised of knitted yarn and fabric, metal chains, digital screens and a short looping video piece.
As part of the Empêtrement exhibition at the OPENing space in Bank, Knit! seeks to branch out and entangle works in the space to create a new form of exhibition curation. The piece itself began with a knitted rug and 2 of my personal devices displaying my collaboration with AI. Working with VQGAN + CLIP, I would feed images of my knitted samples and work together to create new and expanding collages. This led to a physical build, growing and evolving in the space and responding to the contextual practices of every one part of the Empêtrement exhibition.
