Knit!: continued is comprised of a knitted collage, chains, conductive thread, mini screens and physical computing.
This piece began as a physical computing experiment searching for forms of interaction with material work. The closer the viewer gets to the piece, the higher the pitch of the sound. Playing on ideas of fragility and preservation with exhibiting, almost forcing engagement to complete the experience of the piece. The work is part of a wider installation in collaboration with Klaudia Pacharew, encouraging viewers to pass round the order to a lit up digital interactive piece, encompassing audio & visual to stimulate both senses.
