A Love Letter to Thailand is a collaboration on my first non-uni project with a first year BA photography student (@chlxefennnell). It was inspired by an interaction that I had with Thanakhom 'Pao' Sittiarttakorn. Poa is an MA womenswear student, who showed his collection along with other MA menswear and womenswear students at the Roundhouse on February 13 2020. Pao's collection was one of a number that piqued my interest. A few days later, the MA womenswear students had a showroom at 50m. I met Pao personally there and asked him if he would be interested in collaborating with me and he agreed. During my time at the store, Poa tried on one of his designs - a white shirt - and I fell in love with it immediately. I decided that I would put together a number of looks in a photoshoot that were a dedication to that shirt. A kind of love letter if you will.
