As representation is key within today’s society commercial stock photography has embodied stereotypes and clichés throughout the modernisation of photo-sharing. I therefore focused on the subject of death and its negative portrayal of our supposed fate. I wanted to subvert these ideologies creating a new dimension of proposed positivity and escapism among a feared yet imminent happening. The following outcomes are hand cut collages using a recycled picture book found in a charity shop.
