“Behind the seams is an ode to the often-overlooked fashion workers who work tirelessly behind the scenes in fashion houses,” says designer Minrisot Liu.
While the spotlight always shines on the creative directors, there’s a dedicated team of labors behind the curtain, rarely receiving the recognition they deserve. Determined to rectify this disparity, the 24-year-old designer is reshaping the narrative through her distinctive designs.
“Every piece of clothing is their baby too. They put a lot of work in it and don’t deserve to be hidden away. My collection is based on my own experience showing the people who actually helped me make clothe,” says Liu.
