'A Sweetbitter; Algal Bloom' was born of my experience at the hospital when my dad underwent a leg amputation. I felt an intense compulsion to touch these bags, fully knowing it’s not allowed. His drainage bag was a violation of boundaries, blurring that which is of the body; outside the body, inside; outside.
