After experiencing years of foreign culture, I realised that being part of Chinese, we lack the ability of questioning. Even though critical thinking is common knowledge in Western countries, this word had never come across when I grew up. Without this ability, we become numb to sensitive questions. We lived in a so-called harmonious society that is filled with consumerism, and collectivism that drives us for desires that are not necessary for our life. Our identity has been slowly wiped off. At the end of the day, we become the ONE. Mao suit is the major reference in this project, wherein the 1950s, and 60s, everyone wore similar garments with different colours. It is the typical era of individual identity that had been erased. It happened, and it is still happening.
